The Organization and Methods (O&M) officer is a commissioned officer of the Indian Army. The O&M officers are tasked with planning, organizing and managing the administrative duties of an army unit. They are also required to maintain records of personnel, weapons and other related items.
The O&M officers are responsible for maintaining the records of all the personnel in their command including their personal information, pay scales, promotions and transfers. They work closely with other units to ensure that they have enough manpower at all times.
