About Tata Institute of Social Sciences - SVE
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work.
The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was recognized as a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. Today, the TISS is a Government of India Institution and has earned recognition as an Institution of Repute from different Ministries of the Government of India, various State Governments, international agencies such as the United Nations, and the non-government sector, both national and international.
Post Graduation Programmes
In December 2011, Tata Institute of Social Sciences set up the School of Vocational Education (SVE) to provide immediate and definite interventions to improve the lives of youth, through appropriate vocational training programmes. This project has been initiated under the aegis of All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE) proposed by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. These programs will focus on imparting and upgrading the skill and knowledge of individuals who are already working and this would thereby provide opportunities to individuals of enhance their employability and growth prospectus. Our center for Post Graduation Programmes in Mumbai is at Mulund.

Pg Diploma in HR & Administration
In various small and mid-sized organisations the HR & admin functions are clubbed together as it may not require separate teams to handle these functions. Moreover the complexities involved would be less due to lesser number of employees to handle and smaller area of operations. In such cases it is imperative that the professionals handling such roles are conversant with both the functions. Thus this course of PG Diploma in HR & Administration will provide the candidate with the knowledge related to some of the core (transactional) functions of HR as well as some functions of Admin work.

5) Form fee of Rs.100/ will have to be paid in cash at centre.
